Are you not sure what you can do? Please look
at the volunteer
page and see what other people have been
doing. Look at your own skills and hobbies and
see if any of them matches something that could
be used to benefit the rabbits. For example, do
you like carpentry or building things? You can
provide assistance to people who need
enclosures. Do you like making jewelry or
baking? Selling these at our events can raise
money for care and feeding of our foster
rabbits. Do you have organizational skills or
writing skills? These are very much needed for
fund raising events and newsletter. Or, do you
just plain love rabbits? Someone to come and
play with the foster or pet sitting bunnies
would be a wonderful gift to one of our
caregivers.
One of our primary missions is to keep
rabbits in the home and not in the shelters, on
the streets or outside in a hutch, where they
are away from the social interaction of the
family and away from notice when they become
ill. We especially need people who like to talk
with other people, educating them on rabbit
care, proper diet, how to deal with typical
rabbit behaviors and medical issues.
Donations
are not just money but also include donation of
time, skills and energy. All are important.
